The Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Foundation (Chamber Foundation) in collaboration with the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Third Annual World Snow Sculpting Championship (WSSC) in 2024. This prestigious event holds official sanction by the Association Internationale de Sculpture sur Neige et Glace, headquartered in Finland.

The Chamber Foundation is devoted to education initiatives, workforce development, leadership programs, business growth, and community events, all geared towards enhancing the quality of life in our communities. The infusion of a world-class experience into the Stillwater area seamlessly aligns with our mission and core values, promising a positive impact on the local economy for businesses throughout the region during the first quarter.

In the previous year, the event drew in over 50,000 visitors and generated more than 1.5 billion media impressions. The resounding success of the event attested to the shared enjoyment of both participants and attendees alike. We eagerly look forward to yet another fantastic experience this year.

Our heartfelt appreciation extends to the Chamber Board of Directors and the City of Stillwater for enthusiastically embracing the challenge of hosting this global event. Special recognition goes to the WSSC Steering Committee for their unwavering dedication and commitment of resources, along with our valued sponsors. Without this collective effort, the realization of the World Snow Sculpting Championship would not be possible.

As we embark on the third year, a myriad of activities are planned around the sculpting itself, including an Opening Ceremony, the World’s Coolest Block Party, and MinneSnowta Nice Day. Set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the majestic St. Croix River and the historic lift bridge, this event is poised to be an unforgettable experience. Main Street, adorned by passionate and proud business owners, further enhances the charm of our hometown.
